It was an interesting moment at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere yesterday, December 29, 2021, where people living with different abilities troop in masses to showcase their various sporting talents and abilities.
In a brief interview with the Director-General for the Special People, Mr. Dare Dairo after the one-day competition;
“Firstly I want to appreciate all the people with disabilities who have turned out against all odds to make history today, I really want to appreciate them all. It is all about them and it can always get better, and you know this is Lagos the governor is committed to his promises making sure no one is left behind”
“This is the first of its kind, and I want to thank the Lagos State Governor and the Lagos state Sports commission as a whole for the great privilege given to us. This alone has made us gain our own recognition not only in the state but in the country at large”
“The governor is making sure that everyone benefits from the immense investment in human capital infrastructure in Lagos State so it can only get better from here and people with disabilities would not be left behind, he concluded.”
Various sporting events were carried out, among those events were powerlifting, table tennis, albino cycling, blind soccer, chess game, ayo, deaf race.

Indeed, such eventful activities can only be organized in Lagos State. We thank the APC-led administration of Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu for this wonderful sporting event for people living with abilities. We at sport247.ng throws a big kudos to them.
