Nigeria’s Ambassador to Libya, Abdullahi Ladan has hailed the Super Eagles after beating Libya 3-2 to go top of the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying Group E.
Ladan congratulated the Eagles and Nigerians saying the team’s effort so far gives an assurance that Nigeria is truly ready to return to playing in Africa’s biggest soccer showpiece.
He urged the Super Eagles to ensure they complete the task of qualification.
Ladan said to Sports247.ng, “This win is very important. We took the three points and everybody is happy.”
“The boys knew what the Libyans would do. They play a long ball but tactically we were perfect. Everybody is happy for us and every Nigerian is happy. Nigerians behind the Super Eagles.”
“This is just the beginning and the team needs to build from this and qualify for Cameroon 2019.”
