Bayelsa United head coach, Ladan Bosso, has attributed his team’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Kwara United to wasted goal-scoring opportunities.
The Prosperity Boys fell short against the Afonja Warriors at the Ilorin Township Stadium on Saturday, with Bosso lamenting his side’s inability to convert their chances.

Following the match, Bosso acknowledged his disappointment but praised his players for their effort and resilience.
“We lost due to our missed chances in front of goal, which eventually cost us. However, I must commend the determination of my players—it shows we have something to build on,” Bosso stated.
“I had hoped we could at least secure a point in Ilorin, and we came close, but a costly mistake denied us. Now, we need to review our performance and make the necessary improvements.”
Regarding the officiating, Bosso had no complaints, describing it as fair and satisfactory.
“As far as I’m concerned, the officiating was good. No issues there,” he concluded.
