Reflecting on the team’s success, Onuoha attributed their dominant performance to effective teamwork and adherence to the coach’s instructions.
In an interview with Sports 247, he remarked, “It’s the teamwork, following the instructions of the coach that gave us the edge in the winning game.”
Onuoha expressed surprise and joy at his own contribution to the match, stating, “About scoring the brace, I don’t usually score like that, and to my surprise, I scored two goals for the team and I feel so happy for myself.”
Looking ahead to the next challenge, Onuoha expressed optimism about Rechabite FA’s prospects in the tournament, saying, “Hopefully, we go through to the final!”
With the captain’s leadership and the team’s collective effort, Rechabite FA aimed to continue their winning streak and secure a spot in the final but they were ousted in the semi-final by Right Vision Choice with 3-0.
