Nigerian cricket umpire, Temitope Onikoyi has been picked as one of the officials for T20 Women tournament, Kwibuka 2022 in Rwanda.
Onikoyi is a level one cricket umpire and will showcasing herself when the likes of Germany, Brazil, 4 time champions Kenya converge in Kigali.
The level one umpire will not be the only Nigerian in Kigali as the Nigerian women’s team will also be at the 9 days events.
Nigeria will open her campaign against Brazil on Thursday by 1.30pm Nigerian time after which they face Germany the next day.
They face Botswana, Uganda and Kenya in the following days after the first two games.
Kwibuka 2022 is the 8th edition of T20 Women’s Tournament which will be in two venues namely Gahangha stadium and IPRC Oval.
Team Nigeria finished 4th in 2021 and will be hoping to bow out on a higher note this year.
