The vice-president of Handball Federation of Nigeria, Kwashi Thompson has stated that the future is bright for the country in the sport.
Thompson also enthused in an interview with sports247.ng that the senior handball national team will also get better with the return of the National Premier Handball League.
He reckoned that players that had not been opportune to play actively in the past are now very busy, which eventually lead to better fortunes for the country.
He added: “We had to disband the national team after a woeful outing in the Nations Cup early this year, but the quality of competition in the league and other activities will help us revamp the team ahead of next year.”
