Players, coaches, and the entire technical crew of Kwara United have proceeded on a short break following their success in the outgone NPFL season.
For the first time after 14 years, Kwara United against all odds finished as third-best on the final League standings thereby qualifying for continental engagement.
Reacting to this achievement on behalf of the management, Bashir Badawiy who is the General Manager stated that the players have done well and they need some days off before regrouping for the coming season.
He also urged the players not to lose focus and stay fit while spending time with their families, friends and associates.
The experienced football administrator also commended the State Government under the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman for the support and love shown on the team.
“We want to thank everyone for the support most especially our Sports loving Governor and the entire Kwarans.
“The players, technical crew, and all members are hereby told to proceed on holiday from August 7 as we shall communicate you all subsequently.
“This is also to tell you all that our continental ambition is still intact and I wish everyone all the best in your holiday,” Badawiy explained to Kwara United media.
Kwara United ended the season in 3rd position behind Akwa United and Enyimba who finished first and second respectively.
