Kwara United winger, Muritala Lawal has lauded the craftsmanship of those who worked on the Mobolaji Johnson Arena pitch following thier big win against As Douanes in the opening game of the CAF Confederation Cup.
He waxed lyrically about the good condition of the pitch which makes playing comfortable and enjoyable while also advising that such standards should be considered when any sports infrastructure are to be put in place.
Reacting in his post match pressers about the big and vital win, he disclosed, “I feel happy and grateful, the work isn’t yet done, we have to go back to the drawing board and work on ourselves to complete the victory at thier home ground.”
On his play and condition of the pitch, he remarked, “It’s a very wonderful pitch, I really enjoyed my game, kudos to the government and those who worked on the pitch.”
“This kind of atmosphere for such infrastructure as this should be encouraged in Nigeria going forward,” he concluded.
