The management, staffs, players and entire coaching crew of Kwara United have felicitated with all Christians in the state on the celebration of Easter.
Christians all over the world will celebrate the resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ this coming Sunday which has always been a colourful ceremony for years.
Unfortunately, Christians in Kwara state will have to celebrate this year’s Easter in their various houses due to the current compulsory lockdown by the state government in their efforts to prevent the spread of deadly coronavirus.
Kwara United in an official statement enjoined all Christians not to be sad with the development, but use the chance of staying at home to pray for peace and normalcy to return to the state and Nigeria.
“We want to wish all our Christian brothers and sisters in the state and the entire country happy Easter celebration.
“Our gratitude goes to His Excellency Governor Abdulrahman and also the Deputy Governor Mr Alabi for piloting the affairs of the state in an excellent way.
“We understand how tough it is to be asked to stay at home during this festive period, but we want to urge you to take it in good faith for the betterment of everyone. Once again, we wish you Happy Easter,”. Kwara United explained in a statement.
Meanwhile, the Harmony Boys are sure of leaving the drop zone when the League resumes with two double home games to play.
