Nigerian topflight giants Kwara United are condoling the number one citizen of the state Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq over the transition to the paradise of his father.
Kwarans and Nigerians on Saturday, July 25, waked up to get the news of the death of Abdul Ganiyu Folorunsho who passed on to glory at the age of 93.
The deceased lived fulfilled life worthy of emulation considering his years of experiences in Law and how he passed the awesome legacies to his children and the world.
Harmony Boys in a condolence message described the death of Baba Abdul Ganiyu as a great loss to the state and also the whole country.
“We want to commiserate with our proprietor Governor Abdulrahman and his entire family to take heart over their loss as we pray that Allah should grant him eternal rest.
“Baba was a great man during his lifetime and we pray once more that Allah should erase all his sins as he would ever be remembered as a community leader and someone who served the poor,” Kwara United stated in a statement.
Abdul Ganiyu Folorunsho popularly known as AGF died less than four months to his birthday and was the first lawyer from the Northern parts of Nigeria.
The nonagenarian was Nigeria’s Ambassador to Ivory Coast and was the first Commissioner of Finance in Kwara state when it was created in 1967.
