The entire coaching crew, staffs and management of Kwara United have commiserated with goalkeeper Lateef Ishola over the demise of his father.
Lateef got the news of the passing away of his father immediately after Kwara United’s defeat against Plateau United where he was named as the man of the match.
He was however unable to celebrate the man of the match award given to him due to the tragic news he got afterwards.
Late Ishola died in Oke Oyi after a brief illness and the deceased has been interred according to Islamic rites.
In a Statement issued by Kwara United management, the club prayed for the soul of the departed to find favor in front of his Creator.
“We condole Abdulateef and all his family members over the death of their father, and we pray that his soul rest in peace.
“We will definitely support you in this period and we want you to take heart,”. Kwara United management said in official statement.
Lateef Ishola has been a blessing to Kwara United this season considering the level of his confidence since he became number one.
He joined the club under former coach John Obuh who picked him on the street of Ilorin, but Lateef was unable to break into the first team then due to the superb performances of Jonah Usman.
Meanwhile, Kwara United are confident of leaving the drop zone when the League resumes following its immediate suspension over the threat of coronavirus.
