Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi and the CEO of Hairsense Ahmad Lawal have both been applauded by the management of Kwara United over monetary support after victory against Heartland of Owerri in Ilorin.

Kwara United on Sunday rounded up their campaign in the 2023/24 NPFL season with a commanding 4-0 annihilation of Heartland to the delight of the Kwara fans.
Before the kickoff of the encounter, Awoniyi who was at the stands promised to reward each goal scored by Kwara United with the sum of 500,000.
Dogo’s wards however did themselves lots of good by netting 4 goals against the Naze Millionaires and were handed the cash by Awoniyi in the dressing room after the final whistle of the interesting NPFL duel.
Similarly, Hairsense boss Mallam Ahmad Lawal was impressed with the performance of Kwara United and decided to gift the coaching crew the sum of N500,000 also in the dressing room.
In a statement signed by Kwara United General Manager, Bashir Badawiy, he thanked these two football figures for their support and prayed that God should continue to bless them and the work of their hands.
“The announcement from Awoniyi motivated my players and I want to thank him for his support and wish him all the best in the coming season in the Premier League.
“Also, we appreciate Hairsense for coming to support us in cash. May His business continue to flourish by the Special Grace of Almighty Allah,” Badawiy stated.
At the outgone NPFL season, Kwara United finished the campaign as 13th best with 51 points.
