The group stage of the National Division One Handball Championship ended on Tuesday in games decided at the Muritala Muhammad Square in Kaduna.
Day 6 of the competition only saw two games played as Kano Pyramids defeated Delta Force 36-25 but it was a dead rubber game as they finished last on group A of the men category with 2 points while Delta Force finished top on the log with 10 points to qualify for the semi final.
In the other game of day 6, Anambra Gallant Babes defeated Police Machine 26-17. Both teams are out of the competition as they finished at the bottom of group A in the female category.
In the men semi final, Confluence Stars, who finished top of group B with 10 will play group A runner up Bayelsa United for a place in the final while group A leader Delta Force will slug it out with group B runner up Police Machine in the second semi final.
In the women semi final, Group B leader Benue Queens will play group A runner up Confluence Queen while group A leader and tournament favourite, Kwara Adorable Angels will play Delta Force Queens who came second in group B.
Matches commences bright and early on Wednesday.
