The Kwara State Football Association board yesterday met with Kwara United Football Supporters Club Executives and members, to discuss and strategize on the challenges affecting football matches, ahead of the new season.
Chairman of the FA, Alhaji Idris Abdullahi Musa in his address, commended the new exco of the Supporters Club and charged them to be ready to face difficult tasks when the league resumes.
Alhaji Musa reinstated the need for the Supporters Club to work closely with the FA in the area of crowd control and enlightenment before and after matches, which is critical in ensuring compliance with LMC/NFF directives.
He assured that his board will strive to ensure effectiveness and efficiency, and provide adequate security during football activities at the stadium while promising to delve into grey areas that can affect or disrupt football activities as highlighted by the Supporters Club.
Alhaji Musa urged them to have a Memorandum of Understanding with the leadership of Kwara United Football Club, led by Kumbi Titiloye as the club seeks to make a big impression by the time the new NPFL season kicks off.
The Supporters Club, led by the Chairman, Abdulwaheed Salihu Obe in his response commended the FA for creating a platform for his board to express its opinions and plans towards creating a working synergy between the FA and Kwara United FC.
He assured that best practices will be adopted to enforce and ensure maximum security and protocols observance during football activities at the stadium, and pleaded with the concerned bodies to look into the welfare of his members.
