Kwara State Football Association chairman, Malam Idris Musa Abdullahi has congratulated the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Melvin Amaju Pinnick on his triumph following the 43rd CAF General Assembly elections held in Morocco for the FIFA Council seat.
According to an official statement which was released by the Special Adviser on Media to the FA Boss, Bolaji Lawal, Malam Musa extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to Amaju on the occasion of his victory.
He praised Pinnick’s effort and contribution to the development of football and the promotion of its values in Nigeria.
Malam Musa, the appointed member of the Nigeria Football Federation Protocol & Ceremonial committee, described the development as a great deal to Nigeria Football and appeal to the NFF President to use his office to further strengthen football governance.
He wishes him the best of luck for this mandate and every success for all the challenges that lie ahead while looking forward to continuing to work with him and to witness Nigeria and Africa football’s steady growth in the years to come.
NFF President Amaju Pinnick won his FIFA Council seat election defeating Malawi’s Walter Nyamilandou with 43 to 8 votes.
He’s expected to become CAF’s 5th Vice President alongside Augustin Senghor (VP), Ahmed Yahya (2nd VP), Souleiman Waberi (3rd VP), and Fouzi Lekjaa (4th VP).
