It will convene key stakeholders, including coaches and referees from the seven states within the North Central Zone—Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, and the Federal Capital Territory. Each state will be represented by a coach and a referee, bringing the total number of participants to fourteen.

Kogi State will be represented by the State Coach, Mrs. Mary Idakwo, and a dynamic CAHB Referee, Mr. Abubakar. The seminar will also welcome representatives from the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, Nigerian Correctional Service, and the Federal Road Safety Corps, adding a multidisciplinary dimension to the discussions.

Four distinguished resource persons from the North Central Zone will serve as facilitators, delivering sessions on handball coaching, refereeing, and developmental strategies.

This initiative underscores Mr. Ojih’s dedication to grassroots sports development and his influential roles as the North Central Representative in the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) and Secretary General of the Commonwealth Handball Association (CHA).

With its focus on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and skill enhancement, the seminar is set to be a milestone event, further solidifying Kogi State’s leadership in handball promotion. Under Mr. Ojih’s visionary guidance, the sport continues to gain momentum, with this seminar marking a significant step toward shaping the future of handball in the region.
