The eagerly anticipated Lagos ‘Super 8’ King’s cup kicked off Wednesday at the Legacy pitch, national stadium, Lagos.
Expectedly, it was action-packed and thoroughly exciting games that kept fans at the edges of their seats. And it rained goals.
The first game between Broad City FC and DN10 FC ended scoreless. In the next game, G12 and 36 Lion drew 1-1; while highly rated Smart City defeated FC Bethel 2-1 in the third game. The last match of the day produced an avalanche of goals, as Box2Box walloped Obazz FC 5-1.
Matches continue tomorrow at the same venue on day two of the King’s cup.
