The ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo state and particularly, Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts, is buzzing in excitement as Nigeria and Africa’s largest football academy, Kanu International Football Academy (KIFA), holds another session of its football talents discovery programme, beginning March 22-28, 2022.
In a release signed by the Director-General of KIFA, Prince Dapo Ajibade, the programme is coming quickly on the heels of its successful scouting programmes held in Kaduna and Ilaji, in early 2022.
” We’re intensifying our quest for the discovery and exposure of top quality youngsters in the mould of legendary Nwankwo Kanu, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, late Rashidi Yekini, and Mutiu Adepoju.
” In conjunction with Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts Limited, who are our partners in progress, we have invited top foreign football scouts and managers. We have already in the country, Miloslav Brozek and Daniel Smejkal from Prague, Czech, respectively.
“Others are Juris Gorkss, Riga; Kari Loytokorpi, Helsinki, Finland; Marjan Dominko and Babak Afshar, both from Munich, Germany,” Ajibade, who was the former Chairman of Sunshine Stars of Akure, explained.
