Kick for Love: Amputee Football Stars Shine in Nationwide Valentine’s Day Celebration

As lovers exchange gifts this Valentine’s Day, the Nigeria Amputee Football Federation (NAFF) is redefining love through the power of sports.

On February 14, 2025, nine cities across Nigeria—including Lagos, Kaduna, and Jos—will host the “Kick for Love” event, a celebration of amputee football and social inclusion.

For NAFF President Ambassador Paul Maduakor, this initiative isn’t just about football; it’s about fostering unity and empowerment for athletes with disabilities.

“Football has the power to unite people, and this event shows that love goes beyond romance—it’s about community and opportunity,” Maduakor stated.

The event will feature competitive matches, exhibitions, and interactive sessions aimed at raising awareness for amputee football.

By using sports to break barriers, “Kick for Love” is not just a game—it’s a movement celebrating resilience, talent, and the human spirit.

Event Venues:

Kaduna: Ahmadu Bello Stadium

Owerri, Imo State: Dan Anyiam Stadium

Jos: Holshe, Opposite Poly Jos Campus

Lagos: Sam Shonibare Playground, Surulere

Niger State: Government Secondary School, Maitumbi Bosso

Kwara State: Kwara State Football Academy Pitch, Ilorin

Kano: Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata

With football as the uniting force, “Kick for Love” promises to be more than a game—it’s a celebration of strength, inclusion, and love for the sport.
