Tony Eseka latched unto a long ball from Goalkeeper Tobechi Ossy as he shrugged off the towering defender before chipping the ball over unrushing United Brother’s Goalkeeper for the first Goal inside 23 minutes.
Ibrahim Kante Amin’s Blinder from 20 yards out doubled the lead in the 28th Minute before Emmanuel Emefiele’s Penalty goal made it 3-0 in the 33rd minute.
The Coach KEN Gadaffi Tutored boys went into the break with the comfortable lead after their 3-2 Defeat in the hands of Unity Stars Earlier on Wednesday.
The Academy boys Qualified for the Quarter Finals as best Losers but were determined to see the game out as they came out in the second half looking for more goals.
United Brother pulled one back in the 50th minute after the Assistant Referee flagged for a handball inside the box.
Substitutes Godsent Benedict and Evans Bright both had clear chances to put the match beyond United brother but the teenagers close range shots were saved by Goalkeeper Idowu.
Emmanuel Emefiele was hauled out in the 80th minute following a head on collision that left a deep gash on the head of the 16 year old requiring Stitches.
KG Sports held on to the lead and will take on Unity Stars FC in the first Semi finals on Thursday.
“ It was a tensed game, we knew it was win or go home and the boys came out smoking right from the first half, we got the 3 goals and had to see the game out, we go into the semi finals now with less pressure and hopefully we can do it” Coach KEN Gadaffi said moments after the final whistle.
