KG Sports Academy Agbor edge out a slip 1-0 win away to Delta Milan FA in a Pre-Season Friendly match at Owa Model Secondary School Owa Ekei, Delta State.
Emmanuel Ekaezue’s 33rd minute strike was enough for the visitors to snatch the win in newly appointed coach Adeyinka Ogundeji’s debut match since taking over the Academy coaching job about a fortnight ago.
“The boys did well, it wasn’t an easy game as most of the players are just coming back and the fitness level not yet there however we were able to put into practice some of the things we worked on in training. We hope to perfect things before the Tournament starts” Coach Adeyinka said moments after the match.
Meanwhile the win put icing in the cake as Director of the Academy Dr Ken Gadaffi celebrated his birthday on Friday and the boys gave him a birthday gift with the win. “I am happy the boys marked my Birthday with a win even though a slim victory, we are just regrading the team again so it will take time but we shall get there” Gadaffi stated from his base in Cambodia.
KG Sports Academy has been drawn in Group D of the Upcoming ACADUC Tournament along with Ultimate, Ika Lions, and Divine FA. Kick off for the tournament is September 9
