The Second Edition of the KG Sports Foundation Cup will kick off on Thursday May 20th at the St Columbus Grammar School Sports Ground, Agbor. Defending Champions KG Sports Academy will open the tournament against new debutants, Superfly FC at 3:00pm .
Six Teams are taking part in this Tournament which will be played at two venues, the College of Education sports Field has been added to the venue for the tournament with Rainbow FC taking part. Another Debutant to the Tournament if Ekuku Agbor United FC while oldies like Green Rangers who were 2020 Runners Up are back to see if they can go one step further this year. Winners FC Agbor Obi completes the six-team tournament which is scheduled to climax on June 12 to mark the Democracy Day.

” We have so many teams wanting to join but we limited it to 6 teams due to logistic constraints, hopefully if we are able to get more sponsors in the future, we would be able to extend the number of participating teams and increase the format to a full fledged league cup” Dr Ken Gadaffi pinned.
The Format for this Year’s Tournament will see the teams grouped into two and after a home and away round-robin the two top teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. The Finals is Scheduled to take place on June 12th.
The Tournament is being organized by the CEO Sports Development and Empowerment Initiative and founder of KG Sports Foundation, Dr. Ken Gadaffi with support from eQueue.ng, and other phillantropists.
