KG Sports Academy’s Enekwechi Chibuike Prince, One Of The Best Promising Defensive Midfielders

Enekwechi Chibuike is a young prodigy who is plying his trade with KG sports Academy, Agbor, Delta State-Nigeria.

He joined KG sports Academy During the Covid 19 Pandemic induced break, and has displayed great performance despite playing against players older than him.

The player has proven to be adaptable  and versatile to any playing position in the  Defensive midfield role.

Chibuike steps towards his development this season could easily be traced to the sound foundational and technical unbringing he has enjoyed under proprietor of KG Sports Academy Dr. KEN Gadaffi to attract invitation by foreign scouts.

This tactical analysis takes look at why Chibuike’s style of play is so well sought out, his strengths, and what he can bring to his Team and to Nigeria  National Teams if invited.

STYLE OF PLAY
The versatile attacking role of Enekwechi Chibuike has gradually been rising in the new era of modern football in accordance with KG Sports Academy  playing style and philosophy.

The modern day defensive midfielder is more involved in all aspects of team play while team is in possession and initiating attack.

Chibuike has shown all the abilities to become a future world class player, creatively, he is one of KG Sports Academy’s biggest chance creator by constantly playmaking; looking for areas in which he can pass the ball that gives his teammates the best chance to score as well as protecting the back four.

Chibuike has also developed his  defensive duties under KG Sports Academy since pitching tent with them and while there is still improvement to be made, he works hard for the team, warranting him a spot in the starting XI.

KG Sports Academy as a whole under Coach Ken Gadaffi – have become much more solid defensively and ruthless attacking wise with the extra man in midfield ( Chibuike) rather than constantly having to run back and forth from a defensive position to an offensive position creating balance.

The zeal is that he has averaged about 25 more touches a game playing deeper under Coach KEN Gadaffi.

This is good for KG Sports as when  Chibuike has the ball, the more likely good chances for scoring are created.

POSITIONAL AWARENESS
In possession like most footballers,  thrives when he has space and time to look for his best option. Often he’ll create space for himself by laying off a pass to a teammate, and wait until the opposition follows the ball. He will then usually find himself in some space, and ask for the ball back.

These quick one-twos catch the opposition off guard, and they leave holes for Chibuike to exploit.

Another way- Chibuike will make space for himself to get really close to the player marking him, and then slightly angle him run. As soon as the ball is played, he’ll sprint away from the defender this effectively creates a large gap between him and the opponent-this gives him time to pick out the right pass for his teammates.

KEN Gadaffi has improved Chibuike’s  defensive display compared to the beginning of the season. He has averaged more interceptions and blocks in his own half in the last 7 games he has played for Kg sports Academy;  KEN Gadaffi has implemented a pressing style at KG Sports Academy, Chibuike  is still young, and is  adapting well with most flexibility in tactics.
