KG Sports academy wins the second edition of the Doris Nwadiolu Memorial Cup defeating Rising Stars International Academy 5-4 on penalty. The match ended 0-0 at full time as both sides couldn’t score.
KG Sport missed some chances in both half twice hitting the woodwork while Rising Stars Forced KG Sports Goalkeeper to some brilliant saves at the other end.
14 year old Kingsley Akere missed his penalty kick before captain Jude Obi fired home his kick to give KG Sports the win.
KG Sports Academy has now won the Title back to back after winning he first Edition in 2021 5-2 Away to Ekuku Agbor United.
KG Sports Director Dr Ken Gadaffi who sponsors the tournament in honor of his late mum, Madam Doris Nwadiolu said the tournament is his own little way to immortalise his late mum.
” I am delighted to see that we are able to play the Second Edition, this Match is to honor my late mum who died 16 years ago, she love Sports and introduced me to Football Early in life but unfortunately she didn’t live long to see how far l have gone in Sports administration hence this is to keep her alive In our heart” Dr Ken Gadaffi Stated.
