KG Sports Academy Promising player Ugwuoke Pascal Ozioma arrived Bangkok on Sunday to begin his Professional Career. The 24 year old attacking Midfielder who joined KG Sports Academy last August will be joining Kassembanfit Football Club on trials with the hope of signing a 2 year contract. According to KG Sports Academy Director Dr Ken Gadaffi, the player has already been offered a pre Contract and only awaiting confirmation if he meets up with the club standard.
“Pascal is a good player and l expect him to do well, we already secured a pre contract for him, however he still needs to under go trials for 2-4 weeks before the deal will be sealed as required by the club” the Cambodia based KG Sports Academy CEO said.
Several Nigerians have continued to hold sway in the Thai League and the Academy CEO is confident Pascal will be able to soar there. “It’s a stepping stone, most players in Nigeria look down on South East Asian Football and sets their eyes only on Europe moves, but l think for Pascal coming to Thailand is a launch pad and he will surely take the Thai League by storm, l am Confident about this” he stated.
Coach Lansana Dukuray who brokered the deal with Kassembandit haven’t played in Thailand before and knows the standard is delighted for the move and optimistic that more KG Players would follow suit.
” I know Thai Football very well haven played there so l know Pascal will do well and that will open more doors for KG Sports Academy Players” he said moments after boarding Pascal at the Abuja Airport.
“We have offers for many of our players now to move to Asia and Europe, this is just the beginning and more to come” coach lansana who had Stints in Cambodia Singapore and Malaysia stated.
