KG Sports Academy are set for a double Header Championship coming up to mark this year’s Children’s Day at Ughelli Delta State.
The Agbor Based Academy will take part in the 16th Edition of the Ughelli national U13 Championship alongside clubs and academies from Bayelsa, Delta, Abia, Plateau, Edo, Anambra, and many others.
The Tournament which is being organized by Coach Onome will attract several of the National Team age Grade coaches and scouts and promises to be enterprising.
Meanwhile, the KG Sports Academy Mowe Branch will be taking part in the U17 Championship at the same venue. Both Championships will run from May 24th through to May 27th. 8 Teams from Bayelsa, Edo, Delta, and Ogun States will lock horns for the title in the U17 Categories.
“It’s great to see that tournaments like this are coming up in Nigeria, it’s a good scouting mission and l hope the national team handlers will be there to scout for young talents” KG Sports Academy Director Dr. Ken Gadaffi enthused.
“We are not going with the aim to win at all cost, our mission is to expose these boys to competitions and we hope the boys will represent themselves well” The erudite Sports Administrator stated.
Two KG Sports Academy players, Victor Thompson and Destiny Uwezukwe recently signed up for Abuja Based NNL side Chamax FC and the Director is optimistic that more of the academy boys will attract clubs from taking part in such tournaments.
“We are the pride of Agbor, in under a year despite the Covid-19 pandemic, we continue to nurture and train these players and hopefully more of them will attract bigger clubs” Dr. Ken Oppined.
