KG Sports Academy Summer camp in Asaba has attracted over 70 kids. This was revealed by Coordinator of the program Coach Adeyinka Ogundeji after a successful session on Wednesday at the Squash Club Asaba.
“We had over seventy kids taking part in our program today” he stated
According to the coach the summer camp involved players of different skills level aged 12-18 years most of which came from high schools around Asaba and beyond.
“some players came from Warri, Bayelsa, Ogwashi Uku and Agbor” he noted.
The sessions involve warm up drills, ball mastery, strength and conditioning as well as phase of the game.
CEO of KG Sports Dr Ken Gadaffi thanked www.Poordoge,net an animal protection charity organisation for sponsoring the Summer camp stating that the program will help kids to be engaged during the Holidays and hope the Academy can continue such camps after the summer
” Special thanks to PDoge for their support, this month long soccer Camp is helping the kids stay busy during the holidays and away from social vices” he stated
” We will select the best players from the camp and hopefully keep them together for the foreseeable future” he enthused.
Meanwhile the Academy suffered a 4-1 loss to P Academy Ubulu Uku in a friendly match on Tuesday and will take on Young Shall Grow on Thursday before facing St Paul’s Academy on Sunday as part of the Summer Camp programs.
