KG Sports Academy Agbor ends it UK Trial Matches with a 3-0 Defeat to Ndame FA of Kwale at the magnificent University Stadium Ozoro, Delta State.
It was the 5th game in 7 days for the touring Pride of Agbor and the fatigue of traveling to 4 Towns to play games told on them as they conceeded late in the first half.
Ndame FA took control of the game in the second half leaving the KG Boys to try to curtail them rather than seek to get back into the game. The Kwale boys doubled their lead midway into the second half and put the icing on the cake and take the game beyond the traveling Agbor Boys in the 78th minute to make it 3-0.
Enterprising Godsent Benedict almost pulled one back when he beat his marker with pace before unleashing a rising shot which forced a darling save from Ndame Goalkeeper.
Victor Thompson came on in the second half to add bite to the KG Attack but the Rugged Ndame Defense held on tight.
The match wrapped up a week of trial matches as KG Sports Academy tries out her players who are ripe for Europe move.
The tour started on 30th October with a 2-2 draw against Ndame FA at the Kwale Stadium. The boys moved to Ughelli and fell 3-1 to FC Prophet of Udu, Warri on 31st October.
On 1st November KG Sports defeated Sowers of Asaba 2-0 at Ughelli before returning to Agbor to take on Winners FC in week 15 of the Ika Grassroots Football League on Wednesday 3rd November. The match Ended 1-1.
The Tour of 5 matches ended with 2 defeats, 2 Draws and 1 win for the KG Boys with several of the players identified by various scouts for possible moves to Europe.
“We are still in the developmental stage and this tour helps to toughen the players mentally and physically” KG Sports Director Dr Ken Gadaffi explains.
“Of course we want to win, but at this level winning is not the ultimate but for the players to learn and develop character” he added
