KG Sports Academy, twenty seven grassroots teams in Delta State are set for Skymat U20 scouting tournament to be held in Asaba and Ughelli from July 27th to July 30th.
According to the Fixtures released by the Organizers, Sixteen teams will take part in Asaba while Twelve teams will compete in Ughelli.
St Patrick Secondary School Ground will play host to Soccer Flight Asaba, De Unique Asaba, KG Sports Agbor, Believe Asaba, Raiders Asaba, Acquire Agbor, Young Shall grow Ibusa, Uriel Agbor, Sowers Asaba, Oko FC, Oko, Visionaries Ogwashi Uku, Delta Marines Warri, Annayouns Asaba, Starpeak Agbor and Selected Side. while Ogor Technical College Ughelli will host Excellent Ughelli, Bayelsa United Feeders, Igho FC Sapele, Heroes Stars Ughelli, Mighty Wonderers Abraka, Chimooski Warri, Super Sheraton Ughelli, New Life, Delta Marines Warri, Solution FC, Ogor United and Igbunu FA,
Teams are expected to play two matches over the course of two days and scouts from Spain, Turkey and Poland will be on the ground to identify potential talents for Europe transfers.
The Organizing Chairman Coach Frank Tigana also stated that over 8 NPFL and NNL scouts and managers are coming to pick players for the respective clubs as teams prepare for the 2023/2024 football Season.
“Its not only for foreign scouts, but also for national club sides to select potential players for their teams, its going to be a festival of football” he enthused.
