This was revealed to Sports247.ng by the Team Manager of Power of De Cross Sports Academy (PODSA) Mr Peter Chuks Ijeoma after unveiling the KG Players who Joined PODSA as part of the Partnership.
“We Are pleased to collaborate with a well organized Academy like KG Sports Academy and we hope to use this Partnership to Continue to scout for talents in Delta State and the South South Region” TM Peter Ijeoma stated.
The Partnership will involve KG Sports Academy scouting for players and send them to PODSA for Scouting missions towards Europe Trials. The Partnership also involves Player Exchange and Training Programs as well as Coaching Education.
Speaking about the Partnership, KG Sports Academy Director Dr Ken Gadaffi Lauded the Program of PODSA and commended the TM for ensuring the collaboration with KG Sports noting that this is what clubs and Academies in Nigeria should embrace
” Clubs and Academies should work together, Training and Player exchanges should be done legally rather than Poaching of players by some clubs and Academies which does not help the players development.” Dr Ken Gadaffi stated.
“Even in Europe, Top Clubs sign agreement with smaller clubs to help with scouting and identification of young talents. So with this Partnership KG Sports and PODSA will be able to work together for the good of the players” He added.
Three KG Players joined up with other 27 players in the PODSA Training Camp in Lagos ahead of December 6-13th Europe trials Destiny Uwezukwe, Victor Thompson and Godsent Benedict
