FC Porto of Portugal youth team midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali is facing the club’s exit door, following what sports247.ng gathered is discontent with his form at the Portuguese Primera Liga outfit.
Though Nwakali showed early signs of stepping up into Porto’s main team few weeks after arriving on loan from Arsenal of England, he has found the going tough since then and the Oporto-based are ready to drop him.
Porto have already given the Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup-winning captain and most valuable player a wake up call, ordering him to step up in form or return to his parent club, Arsenal.
To buttress their seriousness, Porto have gone ahead to notify Arsenal about their intentions, as the 2014 UEFA Champions League winners say Nwakali’s deal would be terminated if he fails to pick up his form.
In Nwakali’s early days at Porto, he trained with the first team but, since the past month he has not been called up to the main squad’s training, due to what has been cited as poor form with their B-team.
Last season, Nwakali played on loan at Dutch second division side, MVV Maastricht, after also struggling at top division side, VVV Venlo, and yet another blight appears to be looming for the Super Eagles rookie.
