Kelechi John Affirms Avaiability Against Libya In Asaba

Rio Ave of Portugal defender, Kelechi John has declared that he is very much available to line out for the under-23 national team, Olympic Eagles in their reverse fixture against Libya in Asaba next Monday.

John explained that he could not be part of the team for the first leg of their Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifier this Wednesday in Tunisia only because he could not apply early enough for an entry visa.

However, ahead of the second leg billed to hold March 25 at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, sports247.ng gathered that John is available for the game and believes he can help Nigeria oust Libya.

The former Plateau United of Jos stopper stressed that he could not make the trip to Tunisia because he could not get an entry visa, but insists he is still part of Imama Amapakabo’s squad.

”I was not dropped due to under-performance at training. I submitted my passport late because when I arrived Nigeria from my base I had to renew it,” John expatiated.
