Katsina Chapter of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) triumphed at the 2025 Sarauniyar Bauchi Under-15 Football Championship, defeating Kaduna YSFON 2-0 in the final match held at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi.
Ahmed Tijjani Danmusa and Ahmed Usman Danja secured Katsina’s victory with goals in the 19th and 40th minutes, respectively, leading the team to claim the prestigious title.
The final was graced by dignitaries, including the Permanent Secretary of the Katsina State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Alhaji Muhammad Rabi’u Muhammad, who represented the Commissioner of the Ministry, alongside the state Director of Sports, Alhaji Abdu Bello, and Alhaji Bishir Muhammad (Berina), representing the Vice President of YSFON North West Zone.
In his closing remarks, Alhaji Muhammad Rabi’u congratulated the team for their remarkable performance throughout the tournament, commending their dedication and recognizing them as exceptional ambassadors of Katsina State. He highlighted that their victory had brought pride to the state and would be remembered in history.
Under the leadership of head coach Kammaladeen Lawal, also known as “Kamalle Karfe,” Katsina YSFON dominated the tournament, remaining undefeated. The team secured six wins, scored 15 goals, and conceded only one, cementing their place as champions
