Katsina United FC condole with Enugu Rangers over players death

Katsina United FC through the chairman Prince Abdussamad Badamasi have expressed deep shock over the sudden death of Enugu Rangers striker, Ifeanyi George and friends who lost their lives in an auto accident on their way to Lagos.

The promising striker and two other occupants of the vehicle were confirmed dead through the official social handles of Enugu Rangers this morning

According to the official released by the team’s Media officer, Nobert Okoli

“The management of Rangers International F.C sadly reports the involvement of some of our players in a fatal accident while traveling for the ten-days break given few days back.”

“According to scetchy information available to the management, our attacking sensation, Ifeanyi George who was in his vehicle driven by his friend including a B team player, had the vehicle smashed into a parked articulated vehicle along Onitsha-Agbor-Benin road, Sunday morning.”

It was gathered that Ifeanyi George along with two of his friends were traveling to Lagos after the club had announced ten-days break due to the Suspension of the NPFL20 to contain the spread of Corona Virus (CODIV-19) pandemic in the country.

Katsina United chairman Abdussamad Badamasi who spoke with the team’s media department this afternoon described the death of Ifeanyi George as a great loss to football fraternity in Nigeria

“I couldn’t believe when I read the sad story. This is very pathetic and a great loss to the Nigeria Football Family.

“On behalf of all of us at Katsina United FC, we pray for the souls of the departed to rest in peace. May God give their immediate family, friends and Enugu Rangers the grit to bear this huge loss.

“Our thoughts and Prayers are with Rangers in this sad time.

“Kindly accept our heartfelt condolences.
