Katsina Sports Commissioner Seeks National Collaboration For Stadium Upgrade And Player Development

Katsina State Sports Commissioner, Aliyu Lawal Zakari Shargalle, along with the Chairman of the State Football Academy, Ahmed Muhammad, has paid a working visit to the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Alhaji Shehu Dikko, in Abuja.

The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation in advancing sports development in the state.

During the meeting, Commissioner Shargalle expressed the state’s interest in collaborating with the National Sports Commission to enhance sports facilities, particularly upgrading Muhammadu Dikko Stadium to international standards.

Additionally, he sought support for players from the Katsina State Football Academy to increase their participation in national football activities.

Describing the collaboration as a significant step for the state’s sports sector, Shargalle emphasized its potential to benefit both the ministry and sports enthusiasts in Katsina.

In response, National Sports Commission Chairman Shehu Dikko welcomed the initiative and assured his commitment to working with the Katsina State Sports Ministry and Football Academy.

He pledged the commission’s support in upgrading Muhammadu Dikko Stadium and affirmed his readiness to visit Katsina for the upcoming football scouting tournament.

The event, organized in collaboration with the France-based Bondy Football Academy, is expected to provide new opportunities for local players.
