Katsina State Football Academy has expanded its international footprint by forming strategic partnerships with three top-tier Maltese football clubs.
The academy’s chairman, Ahmed Mohammad, recently signed agreements in Malta, enabling young talents from Katsina to join Pieta Hotspurs FC, Hamrun Spartans FC, and Zabbar St Patrick FC.

Mohammad also announced that representatives from these prestigious Maltese clubs will visit Katsina in May 2025 for a scouting mission to discover and nurture budding football stars.
“This collaboration provides a remarkable platform for our players to showcase their skills in European football,” he stated.
This development follows the academy’s milestone partnership with France’s Bondy Academy in October 2024, the renowned institution that groomed Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappé. Bondy scouts are set to visit Katsina in February 2025 for talent identification.
