Former sports minister, Bala Bawa Ka’oje has welcome the chance Nigeria has for the production of new athletes from the ongoing National Sports Festival in Abuja.
Ka’oje, who was one of the many dignitaries at the opening ceremony of the 19th edition on Thursday, said he is happy that attention will now be focused on states that will produce future stars for the country.
He projected that several new stars of Nigerian sports will be produced in the coming days and expressed joy that the biennial event is back.
Ka’oje declared: “I am happy with the opportunity we once again have to spot and produce future stars of Nigerian sports.
“I can now only urge the the federal government should not to allow it stay off for another long period before we have another edition.”
