Nwankwo Kanu, Former Captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria and an award-winning African Footballer of the Year has dedicated the past 19 years of his life giving succour to those with heart related problems.
The UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador is the founder of Kanu heart foundation with his experience leading to the establishment of the help raising foundation for heart problems.
In his recent post, the Nigerian Veteran took his twitter accont to share and mourn the demise of one of the wards quoted “Why why why one of Kanu heart foundation gone. My daughter gone gone gone, I can’t believe this, R I P Eniton God knows al sad sad sad Don’t know what to do https://t.co/EVq1AASsYM”.
Papilo’, as the one time Inter Milan and Arsenal forward who led Nigeria’s U23s to win the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games soccer gold medal is foldly called, floated the Foundation in 2000, three years after surviving an open heart surgery at the Cleveland Hospital, USA.
So far, Kanu Heart Foundation (KHF) is understood to have undertaken 561 successful open heart surgeries.
