Kano Pillars, Katsina United Roar Back to Nigeria Premier League with Promotion Triumph

Kano Pillars and Katsina United have successfully secured promotion back to the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) after a strong performance in the Northern Conference of the Nigeria National League (NNL).

Both teams had suffered relegation from the top-flight league in the previous season but managed to bounce back with determination and skill.

The confirmation of Katsina United’s promotion came after a thrilling encounter against Kano Pillars in the NNL Super Eight playoffs held at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.
The match ended with a tight scoreline of 1-0 in favor of Katsina United. Victor Mbaoma, a former Enyimba forward, proved to be the hero of the day, netting the winning goal in the 59th minute. This crucial victory ensured their promotion to the NPL.
