Players and technical crew of the Nigeria Professional Football League side, Kano Pillars FC will embark on a two-week recess.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the club, Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Yahaya during a meeting with the technical crew in the club’s Secretariat on Sunday.
Alhaji Surajo said the break became necessary due to the suspension of the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League season, NPFL, by the League Management Company of Nigeria, LMC, due to the fear of CORONAVIRUS and this is in line with the global health preventive protocol against the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19).
The chairman then urged all the players and the technical crew to use the break and stay with their respective families and avoid unnecessary behaviours.
Media Officer of the club, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa reported that the Chairman directed all the players to resume camping on the 6th April 2020 and any player that failed to return on the said date should blame himself on any action or actions the club might take against him.
He then wished them a successful break and advised them not to relent on the task ahead of them.
