Kano Pillars FC Chairman, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar, has praised the team’s performance and resilience despite their narrow 2-1 loss to Remo Stars in Ikenne on Saturday.
Speaking to the club’s Media & Communications Directorate, Ali Na Yara commended the players and technical crew, led by Head Coach Ahmed Garba Yaro-Yaro, for their determination and dominance throughout the match.

He expressed pride in their effort, emphasizing that while the result was disappointing, the team displayed commendable fighting spirit.
“I must appreciate the players and coaching staff for their approach to the game. From start to finish, they played with passion and controlled the match. Unfortunately, football can sometimes be unpredictable, and luck wasn’t on our side,” he said.
He also highlighted the positive impression Kano Pillars left on the fans, who were thrilled by their attacking football and dominance. Despite the loss, he believes the team’s performance reflects their progress and ability to compete at the highest level.
Encouraging the squad to remain focused, he urged them to build on this display and continue working hard to restore the club’s former glory.
“The season is still ongoing, and with continued effort, we will achieve our objectives,” he added.
Kano Pillars will now turn their attention to their outstanding Match Day 20 fixture against El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, set for Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the Sani Abacha Stadium. The Sai Masu Gida will be aiming to secure maximum points in front of their home supporters.
