Kano Pillars have appointed French coach Lionel Emmanuel Soccoia as new coach ahead of next month’s CAF Confederation Cup preliminary rounds.
Pillars announced that Soccoia has agreed a one year contract with the Nigeria cup holders, Kano Pillars FC. Soccoia who was introduced to Pillars by Nigeria Superb NFF intermediary Agent Mr. Ojo Paul Omamomo. Ojo Paul was said to have mediated his contract to Kano Pillars and successfully secured a one year contract with club.
According to Kano Pillars spokesperson, “The coach is already in Nigeria and he will be presented to the media and the general public Wednesday”, he commented.
Soccoia, whose preferred formation is 4-4-2, last post was head coach of South African club Black Leopards in September 2019.
He has previously also worked in Cameroon, Tanzania and Zambia.
According to Soccoia, he explained that he has genuine love for Nigerian Football and strongly believes that he can take Kano Pillars back as Champion of Nigeria Premier League .
While interviewing his agent Mr. Ojo Paul Omamomo mentioned that he was the best fit for the job.
