The ongoing third edition of U-13 and 16 Kamok water soccer championship have reached the crucial stage.
The tourney which started two months ago is being sponsored by a football enthusiast, Alhaji Kabir Muriamo who is the chairman of Kamok Pure Water Nigeria Limited.
In the semi final of U-13 matches played recently at the Sango and Igando centers, Vision Academy lost 0-1 to Favourite Academy, while B United defeated Fit 2 Live FC 4-2 on penalties after 2-2 at the regulation time.
In the U-16 category,Tsonfa hammered Smart Strikers 2-1 to book a place in the final.The second semi final would hold on 25, Sunday,June, 2023 at the Igando palace playground between Fit 2 live and Samba Tornado Academy.
Match cordinator, Babajide Stowe said the tournament is organised to give the young players an opportunity to showcase their God given talents and bring them to limelight.
He however thanked the cup dinor, Alhaji Muraimo for his financial commitment to support the championship saying that all the participating teams have given account if themselves since the tournament kicked off some months ago.
“I am happy that the competition has recorded a huge success in terms of organisation and officiating.The young players were able to enjoy themselves and gave a good account of themselves.We are looking forward to the last semi final on Sunday in U-16 category and i wish both teams all the best,”he said.
