Kakawa FC Ends Fima FC’s Winning Streak with Hard-Fought Victory in DSL Week 4

Former Dynasty Scouting League (DSL) champions, Kakawa FC, brought an end to Fima FC’s perfect run with a 1-0 victory in their week-four encounter on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

Fima FC had enjoyed a dream start to the season, securing three consecutive wins and sitting atop the DSL standings with nine points after match week three. Given Kakawa FC’s struggles—two losses and a draw in their first three matches—many pundits and bookmakers had tipped Fima FC for another victory.

However, the Epe-based side defied expectations, sealing a crucial win thanks to James Jaja’s second-half goal. The forward’s performance also earned him the TSM Man of the Match (MOTM) Award, sponsored by Trailblazer Sport Management.

Speaking after the match, Kakawa FC’s head coach, Attai Usman, credited his team’s high-intensity approach and tactical adjustments, particularly their dominance in midfield, for the victory.

Following this result, Kakawa FC now sit 9th on the DSL log with four points from four games (1 win, 1 draw, 2 losses). Their next challenge will be against B.E Arena FA in match week 5.
