Former Super Falcons coach, Kadiri Ikhana, has called upon the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to recognize the commendable efforts of interim coach Justin Madugu by offering him a substantial and extended contract.
Madugu stepped in for American coach Randy Waldrum, who is currently in contractual limbo with the NFF and successfully guided the national women’s team to qualify for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) scheduled for Morocco next year.

Ikhana, expressing his viewpoint, commended Madugu for a job well done and stressed the importance of rewarding his contributions with a long-term contract.
He stated, “It felt like we are starting again, even when the Super Falcons were winning laurels in the past, it was the indigenous coaches who were doing the job. I think it is a starting point again, so I think we should support Madugu very well.”
Highlighting the historical significance of indigenous coaches leading the Super Falcons to success in the past, Ikhana emphasized the need for continuous support to ensure a resurgence in the team’s performance.
