Energetic Kwara United star Kabiru Balogun has confirmed his readiness and that of his teammates for Sunday’s NPFL match-day 11 clash against Lobi Stars in Ilorin.
Kwara United will go into this game against Lobi Stars in front of their faithfuls with boosted morale having gotten a deserved point in Uyo against Akwa United on Wednesday.
But Kabiru Balogun who created the assist that gave Kwara United a point at Akwa United wants his teammates to tackle Lobi Stars with all seriousness and give the visitors no chance to shine.
There is no doubt about the fact that Kabiru Balogun has been one of the best Kwara United players this season considering how he plays and his rugedity to deliver for his team.
So far this season, Kabiru Balogun has created five assists in the NPFL netting one goal and he has given himself a target to score against Lobi Stars on Sunday.
“I want to score against Lobi Stars and I will work towards it on Sunday even though the most important thing is for us to win which will help us on the League table,” Kabiru Balogun explained to Kwara United Media.
Meanwhile, Kwara United and Lobi Stars have met 19 times in the topflight with the Markudi based side having 9 wins – Harmony Boys have 6 victories while other four games ended in draws.
Last season when Lobi Stars visited Ilorin, Chris Nwaeze and Stephen Jude scored as Kwara United recorded a 2-1 win.
