Expressing confidence in Finidi’s capabilities, Oshaniwa emphasized the coach’s extensive experience as a former player and his commendable performance since taking on the interim role. He acknowledged the challenges of transitioning from club to national team management but stressed Finidi’s readiness for the task.
“The fact still remains, he’s a good man,” Oshaniwa affirmed. “He’s been in the course of the job so far, doing well in it as well. I know it’s a different ballgame entirely, club side and national team. But notwithstanding with the kind of experience that he’s got playing in the national team as well, playing that level of football across the globe, I think he is ripe and okay for the job.”
Oshaniwa’s endorsement adds to the growing support for Finidi George to continue leading the Super Eagles, highlighting his suitability and potential to steer the team to greater heights. As discussions about the team’s coaching staff intensify, Oshaniwa’s words carry weight in the ongoing deliberations regarding the future leadership of the national team.
