Young Stars Coach, Hyjinus Okoye has revealed that hardworking and determination of his players saw them through to reach the round of 32 in the on going winners Golden Bet Lagos State Challenge Cup.
Young Stars this morning defeated Jo Sportyne 6-5 on penalties after barren draw at the regulation time.
The third round held early this morning at the Alade sports center, Ipaja Command, Alimosho.
Okoye explained to Sports247 that his players were determined and ready to go far in the tournament.
“I have experienced and hungry players who are ready to give their best.Our victory today showed that the players were more determined and resilient.I thank them for the job well done and I believe we can go far in the tournament,”he said.
Okoye confessed that his target in FA Cup is to reach the semi final stage and urged his players to remain focused and steadfast in their remaining matches.
In his own comment, Jo Sportyne coach,Omolayo Taofeek commended his players for their performance noted that the best team won on penalty shoot out.
