Juventus Football Club Academy of Italy have all but sealed a partnership agreement with the Anambra Football Association (ANSFA) with the aim of promoting grassroots football and raising the next generation of players from Anambra State who will be ambassadors by representing the country’s national teams in the near future.
The partnership was made known by the Chairman ANSFA Caretaker Committee, Dr. Emeka Okeke on Monday during a press conference held at the new complex of the ANSFA Secretariat Awka. Dr. Okeke stated that the arrival of Juventus FC in Nigeria and precisely Anambra is the dawn of a new era for football development at the grassroots level for Ndi Anambra.
In his reaction, the Country’s representative of Juventus Academy, Mr. Olajide Ajayi, stated that Juventus as a football entity is delighted to partner with the ANSFA as the club hopes to achieve its goals and aspiration by reaching out to kids at the grassroots through education and grooming them adequately in becoming superstars in the future. Mr. Ajayi described the alliance with Anambra FA as a technical partnership that will bring Juventus way of football to the state in the form of style of play, technical and tactical ability as well as incorporating the mental, emotional and social factors of the game.
The football administrator thanked the present leadership of the association for sharing in the dreams towards youth development and the promotion of football in the state. He described Anambra State as a shining light that should be at the forefront of the development of the round leather game in the country.
