Nigeria international Chidera Ejuke has completed a move to German Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin from Russian side CSKA Moscow on a temporary deal, Sports247 Nigeria can confirm.
The transfer of the winger was officially unveiled on the club’s social media pages on Wednesday afternoon, accompanied by a note that reads; “Welcome to Berlin, Chidera Ejuke!
The Nigerian international joins us on the Spree on loan from CSKA Moscow. We look forward to seeing you, Chide!.”
Chidera joined on a loan deal with no option to buy, which will see him play at the Olympiastadion for the Blue-Whites next season. He will wear the number 40 at his new club
And speaking on the latest addition, the Direct of Sports at Hertha Berlin, Fredi Bobic said has proven himself in several leagues in Europe and that Chidera knows will bring quality to the club.
“Chidera has proved himself in several European leagues already and brings good skills alongside speed and versatility. We’re sure that he’ll improve our game with his abilities.”
The 24-year-old on the other hand stated that he is looking forward to playing for the club and that he wants to do his part in helping the club.
“I’m looking forward to playing for Hertha, to the Bundesliga, and this special challenge. I want to do my bit in helping the club achieve its goals,” Ejuke said.
He began his professional career at Gombe United in 2016 before moving to Norway with Vålerenga, then to Dutch giants, Heerenveen, and recently to Russia with CSKA Moscow.
